General Assembly in Friedberg

The third General Assembly on October 12, 2011, at the simTD test grounds in Friedberg gave participants the opportunity to extensively test the car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure communication system which was developed for field operational testing.


simTD coordinator Christian Weiß summarized the results of the past project year. Marc Bechler provided an overview of the system integration and assessed the current situation. Ingo Totzke presented an outlook on further project work.


In addition to the presentations, participants had the opportunity to learn more about current project results through poster sessions and simulations as well as experience driving demonstrations. Participants were able to observe several functions in driving demonstrations with a total of 21 vehicles that were equipped with the car-to-x communication system. Further more there was ample opportunity to discuss project experiences with other project partners.
